Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I have to pay a deposit, and when do I pay ?
A: Its very simple, pay on the day (during delivery), no deposit is required

Q: How do you inflate the bouncy castle when you have delivered it? Will I be able to put it down?
A: Our bouncy castles are inflated using electric fan blowers. They are simply plugged in to a suitable socket in your house or out building, we supply long extension cables and power breakers with all castles so you don't need a socket nearby. To deflate the castle, simply unplug the fan and it will slowly collapse (make sure nobody is using the castle at the time!).

Q: What happens if its raining or particularly bad weather on the day of the booking?
A: You are not charged a deposit, so you will lose nothing, we cant help the weather, we live in England after all and we all know how bad the weather can be.  We will ring you on the morning of your booking if the weather is bad and discuss the options, in some cases we may be able to help you relocate your party to a nearby hall or community centre (we have contacts!!)

Q: How much space do I need for your children's party castles?
A: The castles are 12x12 (feet) but require 3 ft at the rear for the fans and outlets, and require 5ft at the right hand side for the slide (facing the castle to your right)

Q: What kind of access do you need when you deliver the castle?
A: The castles are wheeled in to position using a sacktruck, so we will need a standard size path to get the castle in to your garden or venue. If you have a lot of steps or a tight entrance way, please let us know so that we can assess the access.

Q: Are you fully insured, if a child gets injured who's to blame?
A: We carry 2 million pounds worth of public liability cover, however  we cannot be held liable for any injuries caused whilst the castle is in your care. You are the sole person responsible for the castle and it's use and therefore should anything happen, you are liable to a claim as the hirer. Our Public Liability covers US against set up faults or faulty equipment etc. If you wish to see a copy of the public liability please contact us prior to the event and make a request so that our staff can bring it to you on the day of hire.

Q: Is it possible to set the castle up on a slope?
A: Unfortunately we cant set up a castle on a slope, if you think there might be a problem, please mention this when you book with us and we'll try to assess the installation.

Q: How much notice to I need to give to book a castle?
A: As much notice as possible. During busy times we book up well in advance so let us know as soon as you have a date in mind, we will do our best to accommodate you.

Q: When the castle is delivered, do I have to set it up myself or do you do it?
A: The delivery person will completely set up the castle, give you a demonstration on how to use it safely and then leave it in your control. When we turn up to collect the castle, we will also dismantle it. All we ask from you at this point is you keep children clear of the staff and equipment.

Q: How many children/adults are allowed on the castle?
A: Our children's party castles SHOULD NOT be used by any adults, remember the hirer is responsible for any damage. The amount of children you allow on the castle is up to you, all we suggest is you give them enough space and play area for tumbles and falls, if the children are playing more aggressive then give them more space then the quieter children.

Q: Is it ok to put a bouncy castle on my lawn, will it cause much damage?
A: We actually prefer to put the bouncy castle on a lawned area. For safety reasons we must hammer in securing pegs to hold the castle down during use. The holes left over from the securing pegs will disappear after a few days. Please bring any underground wires or pipes to the delivery mans attention before setting up the castle.

Q: Am I allowed to hire this castle from you and then charge people to use the castle?
A: Yes you are, but you must bear in mind that you are in charge and must make sure that people who use the castle are safe, don't overload the castle to try to make extra money. As the hirer you are liable for any damages. You must also be aware that you will have to provide your own public liability, although optional, you should be aware as an operator you are responsible for any injury which may happen.

Q:Do you supply 'manned hire' and what is involved ?
A: We do supply manned hire for events such as weddings, school fayres and other parties, with our staff manning the appliance you are fully covered by our public liability insurance.  Our rates are normal hire (£45) plus an additional cost of £20 per hour, from the moment the appliance is setup and the staff ready to man, until the moment the appliance is to be deflated.
